Women In Nutraceuticals (WIN) is conducting a baseline survey of gender parity in leadership positions across the nutraceutical industry, to help the organization set benchmarks for future progress.

The survey – which can be accessed HERE – will provide WIN with an important snapshot of the current status of the industry and assist the organization in setting benchmarks so it can track progress in achieving its goals, that will impact not only women, but all in the industry, and communities as a whole.

All data collected will remain anonymous and only reported in aggregate.

The deadline on the survey to Monday 23 January 2023

Changing the status quo

Women In Nutraceuticals is a global non-profit organization dedicated to changing the status quo to achieve gender parity by empowering women across the nutraceuticals industry to unlock their personal and professional potential.

WIN’s goal is to ignite a movement to increase gender parity, reduce gender discrimination by increasing the percentage of women holding leadership roles, funding for female-led businesses, and women’s participation in research.

Such an initiative is necessary because the 2021 Women in the Workplace Report showed that only 86 women to every 100 men are promoted to first-level manager, and women are under-represented in leadership roles across the nutraceuticals industry.

Speaking with NutraIngredients-USA at the time of its launch in October 2022, WIN President Heather Granato said: “To truly make a difference in consumer health, we need to ensure that our industry and our organizations reflect the face and values of our consumers. Having honest dialogue on how we bring more women into the C-suite, fund women-led and -owned businesses, and bring in more women in science—both running research and the need for studies on women—will help us collectively make positive change.

“Further, offering opportunities to empower the next generation of female leaders will keep our nutraceutical industry at the cutting edge as we think differently and proactively to impact health in a positive way.”
