Shaklee packages longevity formula in anti-aging gummies

The company first launched Vivix as anti-aging tonic over a decade ago, followed by a liquid gel capsule in 2015 to eliminate the need for refrigeration.
Polyphenols for preventative health care
According to a recent market report, the anti-aging supplements market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 13.4% from 2023 to reach $106.85 billion by 2030, driven by a growing customer preference for naturally sourced anti-aging supplements and interest in preventative healthcare.
Within this market, Shaklee presents an organic, polyphenol-rich formula to target aging where it starts – defending cells against environmental toxins, unhealthy diet, daily stressors, and the wear and tear of bodily function.
“These attacks damage our cells and the vital structures in them like our DNA and also the mitochondria, which are the energy producers, or ‘battery pack’, of our cells,” the company shared in a statement. “This cumulative damage to our cells triggers a chain reaction that accelerates cellular damage, causing our cells to age. And when our cells age, we age."
Vivix relies on a blend of polyphenols found in resveratrol, red wine, purple carrot, black currant, pomegranate, chebulic myrobalan and its star ingredient muscadine grape pomace to fight these free radical forces.
An extra pair of chromosomes
The secret behind the formula, Shaklee says, is the concentrated polyphenol profile of its muscadine extract, made from the upcycled pomace of grapes grown under harsh, fortifying conditions in southern Georgia.
“It is the only grape that has an extra pair of chromosomes,” the company highlighted. “Scientists hypothesize that the extra genetic material contains instructions for survival mechanisms, and the muscadine's super thick skin is incredibly rich in polyphenols.”
Muscadine grapes not only have the full suite of polyphenols found in other grapes, including resveratrol and quercetin, but also ellagic acid and ellagitannins, which heighten the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging capacity of the grape cultivar.
Researchers at the Shaklee Innovation Center in Pleasanton, CA reported that the synergistic blend was significantly more powerful than resveratrol alone in slowing the formation of damaging AGE proteins. Laboratory and clinical trials have also shown that Vivix reduces DNA damage by 62%, boosts cellular energy production by 98.8%, blunts inflammatory response to an unhealthy meal, neutralizes free radicals and protects against oxidative stress.
The gummies are sold online or through one of the company’s two million plus ambassadors across North America.
