With just five weeks to go before the start of Probiota in Milan, NutraIngredients previews what attendees can expect each day of this three-day microbiome extravaganza.

Probiota bridges the world of science and business, providing a 360° view of all things probiotics, prebiotics, postbiotics and synbiotics. The content goes deep and wide: The breadth of our content gives every attendee a higher-level view of the issues, while our experts will also take attendees down rabbit holes for an in-depth understanding of the topics.

According to our post-event survey for Probiota 2023, 95% of attendees rated the summit as Excellent or Good, and 94% said they would recommend it.

For 10 years, NutraIngredients has been bringing you Probiota, and the 2022 and 2023 events sold out. Probiota 2024 will take place 7-9 February at the NH Milano Congress Hotel in Milan.

As usual, spaces are filling up fast... make sure you register your place for free on the event website and join us once again for a three-day exploration of the probiotic, prebiotic and microbiome space.

Day 1

The event kicks off with current advances around the First 1,000 Days and how the development of the microbiome during this critical period impacts health, wellness and development throughout life.

The session kicks off with Nestlé Research and then features a presentation by experts from Chr. Hansen.

This will follow with a panel discussion featuring experts from BoobyBiome, Nestlé Research, Kerry and more.

Day 1 will also feature presentations about postbiotics from EpiCor Postbiotic (for Children’s Immune Support) and ADM (a novel dual pro- and post-biotic in adults with IBS).

The afternoon will close out with a look at the science and commercial opportunity around the skin microbiome and the gut-skin axis, featuring presentations from Marie Drago from Gallinée and Dr. Chris Callewaert from Ghent University (aka DrArmpit).

Kirsty Doolan, Editor of CosmeticsDesign-Europe, will then moderate an wide-ranging discussion with Marie, Chris and representatives from IFF, Probiotical and SynBalance

Meet and mingle

The day finishes on a high as interacting becomes the main theme with the Scientific Frontiers and Probiota Pioneers rounding off the proceedings.

This is your chance to meet and mingle with fellow delegates while enjoying a drink with your fellow attendees.

A range of posters are available to view that have been submitted to our Scientific Frontiers display.

Selected by our Scientific Committee the posters will present cutting edge findings in the fields of pre and probiotics and microbiome research.

Our 2024 Probiota Pioneers will also be available to chat about their experiences in setting up entrepreneurial consumer-facing, science or technology-based start-ups.
