Prenulin lowers circulating glucose and insulin levels after acute oral sucrose challenge.
Interventions with low-risk dietary supplements that suppress glucose levels without raising insulin levels could offer significant long-term health benefits. Animal and human studies have shown that consumption of l-arabinose (LA) and various forms of chromium (Cr) taken separately led to suppression of the circulating glucose and insulin after sucrose challenge. This study examines the effects of a formula called Prenulin, which contains a special form of l-arabinose and a patented, trivalent chromium, on circulating glucose and insulin responses to sucrose challenge
