Paley, who was recently named CHPA’s Chair of its Board of Directors, is focusing on gender parity and inclusion to deliver better everyday health with humanity.

Lisa Paley is responsible for building business opportunities across many health and wellness categories with big brands like Centrum and Emergen-C. She was also recently elected the Consumer Healthcare Products Association’s (CHPA) Chair of its Board of Directors.

She joined Haleon in 2019 after spending a decade at Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. Prior to that, Paley worked at Johnson & Johnson and also spent 18 years with the former Pfizer Consumer Healthcare company Warner Lambert.

As someone who has spent many years in consumer healthcare, Paley said it’s been fascinating to hear the way in which consumers talk about their healthcare and watch it evolve from healthcare to selfcare.

“So you think about people going from maybe a doctor or a pharmacist as a major consult, to friends, family, Dr. Google and the way they access their information about and what that means, how they're going to incorporate that self-care for them and for their families,” said Paley. “Plus the addition of technology, right? So you think about things that you can get from a watch today or an app or something that really compliments what used to only be available in a bottle or a box. So I think this whole integration is really next frontier.”

One of Haleon’s standards is championing diversity, equity and inclusion, with the company aiming to reach gender parity in leadership roles by 2030.

“You know we're self-critical and that holds us back more than it needs to. I really encourage women to be confidence boosters of each other and I would say don't let any lack of confidence hold you back from what you perceive to be opportunities–you're probably much better qualified than you realize. I think if we can not only change how we talk to ourselves but also how we talk to other women and really be a part of what champions each other, I really think that can make a difference," said Paley.
