Diana Morgan named NutraIngredients-USA’s 2023 NutraChampion
The brains behind What’s Up with Supps, Diana Morgan received this year’s NutraChampion Award for her work in building a community unlike any other. Morgan describes herself as a catalyst–something she realized in 2007 after taking the ‘How to Fascinate’ test by Sally Hogshead.
“I took this profile and it really played up what my strengths were. And one of my major strengths was being a catalyst. That's the name for my fascination vantage –being the catalyst and bringing people together. And once I figured out that I really have this ability to bring people together and thrive on making connections between people, it really started just growing exponentially and I started networking more.”
Indeed, the catalyst transformed What’s Up With Supps into a revolutionary social scene for the dietary supplements community, starting off with a couple dozen patrons to sold out events that garnered over 1300 attendees.

To Morgan, this isn’t a job–it’s a lifestyle.
“My personal lifestyle is the industry. I live and breathe supps…..I call it being a ‘supps person.’ A supps person is someone that cares what they put in their body, someone that is physically active and takes a handful (maybe 2) of supplements daily, a true user and consumer of the products. I want to keep driving our industry to unique innovations, making quality products that I would take myself, and bring others together for those common goals. It’s so easy to focus on the negative, but if we use our passion for positive change–we can be unstoppable.”
The New Jersey native explained building the brands has been the most challenging but fun part of What's Up With Supps.
“I’ve always had an entrepreneurial side and a passion for branding but never had hands-on experience with it as my background is technical. Every day is a new learning opportunity from content creation to business plans to trademark licenses,” she said.
Aside from being THE place to be, What’s Up With Supps works to develop younger talent through its Supps Successor mentorship program and partnering with charitable organizations.

Morgan told us that the award came as a complete shock.
“Winning the NutraChamp Award hit me like a ton of bricks (in a good way!) I’m completely overtaken with emotion and gratitude for this amazing industry. The whole premise of WUWS is to create connections that develop into lasting relationships. All humans have a desire to be part of a community, to feel good being around people that lift you up. This award makes me feel even more motivated to keep spreading our good vibes to the natural products industry and bringing us together.”
