This month's new offerings address a variety of needs specifically for kids, including a new hydration pouch, probiotics for dental health and protein for growing bodies. For the adults, April was all about stress management, with ingredients like ashwagandha, lavender, CBD and others popping up in a variety of products aimed to bring on calming effects.

Sipping on sunshine 

Michigan-based ShineWater debuted its kid-friendly hydration pouches that contain 100% of the daily recommended vitamin D.  The new beverage contains 0g added sugar, 5mg of sodium, 1g of carbohydrates, 35% vitamin D, 45% vitamin B12, 15% zinc, 23 mg of calcium, 8% of folate, and 15% magnesium, based on daily recommended values, per 6 fl. oz. pouch. The ShineWater pouches are available in Strawberry Lemon and Mixed Berry Acai. The pouches are sold at Meijer​ for $4 for a box of 8. 

Sleeping dragon

Dragon Hemp has released REST, which contains 1,800mg of cold-extracted full spectrum cannabinoid hemp extracts that are blended in with Chinese herbs and botanicals that have been shown to have calming and sedative properties. These include schisandra fruit (Wu-Wei-Zi), linden flower, passionflower and lavender. REST is sold at dragonhemp.com​ for $90 for a 30ml bottle. 

Cola flavored gummies 

FreshCap recently launched a cola-flavored mushroom gummy with notes of sweet caramel, vanilla, and spice. The gummies have 500mg of fully extracted organic mushroom fruiting body and 145mg of fungal beta-glucan per serving to support immunity, focus and energy. The cola-flavored gummies can be found at freshcap.com​ and run $35 for a bottle of 60.

Protein for the littles 

Nutritional Growth Solutions debuted Healthy Heights KidzProtein and KidzProtein Vegan to support children’s development. KidzProtein comes in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry and KidzProtein Vegan comes in chocolate and vanilla. The new line includes both dairy and plant-based formulas that contain a proprietary blend of micro- and macronutrients demonstrated to support childhood growth and development, as well as a fruit and veggie blend. KidzProtein Vegan was developed to address milk allergy as well as intolerance to lactose. KidzProtein and KidzProtein Vegan contain 10g of protein along with vitamins and minerals that can be added into smoothies and other recipes. The protein runs $25 at healthyheights.com​ for 260g. 

Combat stress eating

R3SET just unveiled R3SET Stress Eating to counteract the impact of stress and occasional episodes of anxiety on the body. The once-daily supplement avoids the use of sugar to prevent energy spikes and is formulated with clinically backed botanicals including: ashwagandha, apple cider vinegar, black pepper and cayenne pepper extracts,  L-theanine, vitamin D3 and chromium picolinate to curb cravings. The company said the ingredients were chosen based on the scientific research supporting their impacts on reducing stress leading to cravings and rebalancing metabolism. Probiotics for dental health

ProBioraKids just launched in the US, which is a probiotic formulated to support kids' oral and overall health.

ProBioraKids features ProBiora3, a patented blend of good bacteria found on kids' teeth and below their gums. The strains  include Streptococcus oralis KJ3, Streptococcus uberis KJ2 and Streptococcus rattus JH145. According to the company, when dissolved in the mouth nightly after brushing and flossing, a kid's saliva hydrates the probiotics, which will seek out their natural habitat, immediately migrating to the tooth surfaces, gums, gum pockets and tongue where they live and compete with the pathogens. When taken daily, the good bacteria in ProBiora helps to rebalance the mouth's oral biome. The probiotics run $20 for a 30-day supply at probiorahealth.com​.

Tru immune health 

Tru Niagen just launched Tru Niagen Immune, an immune health supplement with an NAD+ boost. The formulation features vegD3, which is  a proprietary form of vitamin D3 derived from algae; vitamin C that is produced via fermentation; zinc that comes in two forms for better absorption; Theracurmin: a form of curcumin that’s 27x more absorbable than regular curcumin according Tru Niagen; and NAD+ boosting Niagen for maintenance and function of aging cells. Take a chill chew

Prima just announced its newest product launch, Chill Out, a vegan CBD chew with a patent-pending formula that features 20mg of organic hemp CBD per serving, with 100mg magnesium enhanced with ascorbyl palmitate, vitamin C, niacin, citrus bioflavonoids, pantothenic acid, pyridoxine, riboflavin, thiamin, PABA, chromium, and biotin.  The company said Chill Out manages healthy cortisol levels and actively calms the body without the hangover or the high. The product is $38 for a bag of 30 chews at prima.co​.
